JAMAICA COLLEGE OLD BOYS' ASSOCIATION OF CANADA
HOSTS ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL DINNER AND DANCE.

On Saturday March 7, 2009, Jamaica College Old Boys' Association of Canada hosted its 21st Annual Dinner and Dance at the Pearson Convention Centre.

There were approximately 400 people in attendance and the dance floor was packed. The gathering was entertained by a scintillating performance by Liberty Silver and during cocktails and dinner our regular entertainer Mr. Bob Ruglass on key boards. He was joined this year by vocalist Ms. Cavel Rowe. Dancing was to the sounds of Sunshine Music with DJ Michael Webley, who gets better each year.

Guest speaker was Dr. G. Raymond Chang, Chancellor of Ryerson University, Chairman of C.I. Financial and Philanthropist. Click here to view a copy of an article from Share Newspaper on his presentation.

MC was CBC Radio's host of "The World this Hour", Ms. Marcia Young (nee Williams). In attendance were Consul General Anne-Marie Bonner, JTB Regional Director Sandra Scott, former Ontario Cabinet Minister and MPP Ms. Mary Anne Chambers and her husband Chris, himself an Alumnus of the schoo!, Peel Regional Chief of Police and Mrs. Metcalf. Representatives of the AlM and other Alumnae Associations were also in attendance.

Our appreciation to our many sponsors who helped to make this another successful evening, the beneficiaries of which are the current and future students of Jamaica College.
