    Judge Patrick Robinson (JC 1954-1960) was elected to be a judge of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which has its offices at The Hague, Netherlands. The first Jamaican to be accorded this honour, Judge Robinson will commence his nine year term of office in February 2015.

    The ICJ, also commonly referred to as the World Court, is the primary judicial branch of the United Nations. It is based in the Peace Palace in The Hague, Netherlands. Its main functions are to settle legal disputes submitted to it by states and to provide advisory opinions on legal questions submitted to it by duly authorized international branches, agencies, and the UN General Assembly.

    Jamaica College won their second major soccer tournament for the year when they defeated Charlie Smith High by a score of 2-1 to take home the Manning Cup for the 26th time. This is the 4th time in 8 years that the college has brought home the storied cup.

    Captain Junior Flemings opened the scoring in the 61st minute, when he converted a headed back pass over the head of the advancing goalkeeper.
    Charlie Smith's Bebeto McDonald respond in the 79th minute to even the score.
    JC sealed the outcome when Raffique Bryan in the 97th minute (overtime) scored from a free kick.
    Coach Miguel Coley praised his players for their sterling effort
    JC moves on to the next challenge when they will meet St. George's College in the Walker Cup
    JC, since 1909, has won the cup more often than any other school.
